BSCI and Factory Audits: What They Mean — and Exactly What We Hold

Compliance claims are easy to inflate and easy to verify. This page explains what a BSCI audit is, then states our own documents with precise attribution — including which one belongs to our affiliated factory rather than to YCT itself.

amfori BSCI is a social-compliance audit: an independent auditor assesses a production site against a code of conduct covering areas like fair pay, working hours, safety and no child labour, and the result is recorded under a verifiable amfori ID. Audits attach to a specific site — which is why honest suppliers tell you exactly whose audit they are showing you. Below is exactly what our group holds, attributed precisely.

What we hold — stated precisely

What we don't claim: ISO 9001 (we don't hold it), a YCT-name BSCI (it's Lirong's), or a YCT GRS certificate (our suppliers hold theirs). If a document isn't in this table, assume we don't have it — and ask.

Why we write it this way

Audits attach to sites, not brands

A BSCI result belongs to the audited address. Shuffling one site's audit under another name is the compliance version of a borrowed suit — common, and checkable in minutes on the amfori platform.

Attribution is a supplier test

How a supplier states its certificates predicts how it will handle quality problems later. Precise now, precise then. Use this page's table format when you screen other factories — see the full verification checklist.

What testing covers what

EN71 concerns children's product safety; REACH SVHC concerns restricted chemicals for the EU. Neither is a social audit — different documents answer different buyer questions, which is why we list them separately instead of as one vague "certified" badge.

Compliance FAQ

A social-compliance audit of a production site against the amfori code of conduct (pay, hours, safety, no child labour), recorded under a verifiable amfori ID.

The BSCI audit in our group is held by our affiliated factory Lirong (same ownership), amfori ID 156-049856-001, valid through Nov 2026 — Lirong's audit, not YCT's own, and we say so plainly.

A third-party factory audit (Richforth 2018), EN71-1/2/3 and REACH SVHC test reports. Recycled fabrics come from GRS-certified suppliers; YCT holds no GRS certificate itself.

Audits attach to specific sites. Suppliers who blur attribution on certificates will blur bigger things later.
