Our MOQ is 500 pieces per style. This page explains where that number comes from, when it can flex, and what your real options are below it — including the honest option of not ordering custom at all.
MOQ (minimum order quantity) is the smallest run a factory will produce of one style — ours is 500 pieces. It exists because fabric is bought by the roll, custom dyeing has minimum lots, and a sewing line must be set up and taught the style whether it runs 500 pieces or 5,000. Below MOQ, per-piece cost rises steeply as fixed setup spreads over fewer bags.
A roll of bag fabric yields a certain number of bags. Order less and the remainder of the roll is waste priced into your order.
Pantone-matched fabric has its own minimum meterage. 500 bags usually consumes it; 150 bags doesn't.
Pattern setup, cutting arrangement, sample approval, workstation sequencing — identical effort at any quantity. This is the fixed cost that makes tiny runs expensive.
| Situation | Realistic route | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| 300–500 pcs, flexible style | Pick a stock style from our shelf, add logo only | Less structural customization; ask — sometimes we can run it |
| One style, two looks | Split 500 pcs across two stock colorways | Custom-dyed color usually can't split |
| Testing a product idea | Order a paid development sample first, bulk later | Sample cost USD 30–300, refunded on bulk order |
| Under ~200 pcs, generic bag | Honestly: buy stock goods locally or on marketplaces | No custom structure — but a factory run at this size would price each bag far above retail |
Yes, we just told you when not to order from us. Buyers remember that when they do reach 500.
Minimum order quantity per style — ours is 500 pieces. It reflects fabric roll sizes, dye lot minimums and line setup costs.
Sometimes — logo-only runs on stock styles, or color splits within one style. Below a few hundred pieces, custom production stops making economic sense and we'll say so.
Setup work is identical at 100 or 5,000 pieces; at 100, each bag carries 50× more of it. Production physics, not factory greed.
Often yes with stock colors of one style. Custom-dyed fabric usually needs the full quantity in one color due to dye lot minimums.
If it works, we quote it. If it doesn’t, we say so and tell you the nearest option that does.
